Bowdon, Timperley - WARBURTON *Completed*

My 4xggparents, William WARBURTON and Hannah WALTON, were married at St Mary's, Bowdon on 25 Dec 1808 - if anyone has access to their marriage record, I'd love to know if it mentions their parents.

I'm also hoping there might be a baptism record for William. He was born  about 1789, and is sometimes described as 'William of Bowdon, formerly of Timperley'.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks Heather, that's two equally plausible possibilities. I really appreciate your response.

Sometimes the marriage records mention the name of the father, which would then settle this - so, hopefully, someone might have access to the marriage entry for William and Hannah to check this.

I don't suppose the record mentions anything else, like age or occupation?

Hannah is listed as aged 46 in the 1841 census, which would imply she was 13 when she married William! However, we all know the 1841 census is not accurate on dates - John is listed as 50, but was actually 55 when he died in 1844.

Out of the two possibilities Heather mentioned, I'm leaning towards Samuel and Mary, as they have a link with Timperley.

If you are looking at Samuel and Mary, there are other births on Familysearch, all christened Bowden with parents Samuel and Mary
