1851 HO1072442/486/24
Kendal Westmorland
William Holme 68  Ag Lab White Land Lancashire
Elizabeth wife  69  Levens, Westmorland
Henry Holme grandson   9  scholar Levens, Westmorland
William Holme grandson 7  scholar Levens
Leah Holmes granddaughter 2  Levens

It's late and I am confusing myself with this lot.
I am leaving the 1841 as is.

These children need to be followed through the censuses to see who they belong to because your Leah was born Derbyshire not Westmorland.

There is a tree on ancestry which has this marriage for Joseph and Ellen but only FreeBMD as a source.

Marriages Jun 1/4 1844
Joseph Holmes   and Ellen Taylor    Derby  vol 19 page 435

One of the children's birth certs will give the mother's maiden name.

It also has his parents as William Holme and Elizabeth Titley but then shows the 1841 census with Joseph and Ann!!

There are no sources shown for Elizabeth Titley

1861 RG 9/2710/62/29
1 no 11 Court Jenkinson Street
Everton lancashire
Joseph Holme 39 cotton porter Levens
Ellen Holme 38 Ness Cheshire
Leah Holme 12 Hayfield Derbyshire
Ellen Holme 6 West Derby
Nicholas Holme 3 Liverpool
James Holme 1 Liverpool

So this would explain a marriage in Derbyshire
