Can anyone please help identify the "charm" in the top left hand corner of this picture* of a watch?

(*Moderator comment: the watch in question is the top one on the page. The "charm" is visible in the centre picture under the text block)

Hi Lazarus :)

There isn't much to identify...all I can see is the head of a bird.

Thanks Prue
I hope my query is not too vague.
I have a family connection to the name Cephas Bartle (more than one).
I think it possible that this watch which must be nearly 200 years old was at one time owned by one of the family. It seems it was made C1814 and it is rather innovative to have the name Cephas Bartle in lieu of numerals.
There were Bartles who moved from UK to US.
