I'll have a look on the PR cd for that tonight Carole, I might have my wires crossed with her date of death, which would explain why I'm not finding her on the 1871 census.

Hi,

George and Esther Colman baptised a daughter Rebecca and a son James on 25 December 1798 at Duxford St. Peter.

The Rebecca Coleman baptised 1803 at Thriplow, daughter of George and Susan was buried the same year.

Thanks so much for that, so at least I know now that there was a Rebecca chr in Duxford at the correct time.  I can see George & Esther on the CFHS with more children, but that's from 1801 onwards.

Thanks for all that extra info.  I'll see if I can find anything on the marriage in Coton but it does look promising!

Carole - I had my wires crossed!  Rebecca Butler died 16 August 1869, not 1871!  :-[  She definitely won't be in the 1871 census!  Witnesses to her marriage were William Butler and William Stevens.
