Looking for the  mother of Annie and Patrick Cassin. Annie was born about 1870 and Patrick about 1875.  Their father was Thomas Cassin.  They moved to Lancashire, England sometime after 1881.
Cheetham in Eccles, Lancashire. Roxburgh in Galston, Ayrshire. Lindsay in GlenIsla, Dundee and Newcastle

Hello AH,

Three guys named Thomas Cassin appear in Griffiths Valuation of Ireland - the Valuation in Dublin took place in 1848-51. At the moment I do not know if they were the same person or three different people. One of them may prove to be the father of Thomas (presumably born late 1840s-1850) who may have been named after his father. http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths.php

Have a look at the Christian names you have of the Cassins and see if there are any surname type Christian names. This may give a clue to Annie and Patrick's mother's surname.

Which branch of the Christian faith was followed by the Cassin family?

I'd left the casson conundrum behind and moved on to other branches of the family....it's lovely to have some leads to get going again :) :) :)
