JOSEPH NICHOLSON b@1832

Hello,
I am wondering if someone would be so kind as to confirm the actual birth date of Joseph Nicholson - he was supposedly b in Bath in 1832 and married in Kent (1854) to Bridget Derrig.
These are my ancestors as well as US actor, Jack Nicholson's.
I have been able to search the 1881 census and found that Bridget was living in Hyde at that time with her children and was the Head of Household. She eventually came to Fall River, MA and is buried there. I have no idea what happened to Joseph.
Has anyone searched this line?  Is there anyone out there who knows anything about Joseph and his ancestors?

I have not found him located anywhere else but mentioned as the father of Walter Nicholson b 1869 in Hyde, Cheshire.
He is not in the 1881 census w/ his wife and children.  She (Bridget) is named Head of Household.

The best bet for corroborating evidence for the birth of Joseph Nicholson is his marriage certificate (to Bridget Derrig), which should confirm his father's name, and age, and would help to pinpoint his location in the county for searching the Kent Census(es), which could give another piece of evidence.

It may also be worth asking for an 1871 Hyde, Cheshire search for him, on the address given in Walter Nicholson's birth certificate.

Thanks for your response.  I do know that Joseph was in the 1871 Census with his wife, Bridget and 8 kids.  He died in 1875 in Hyde. The 1871 census lists his birth place as Bath, Somerset, England.

Bridget Nicholson d in Fall River, MA.  Her death certificate names her as Bridget Nickelson. 
Does anyone recognize this? 
Also listed on her death certificate is her maiden name which I thought to be spelled Derrigg.  Written on her dc is Derick.  She was b in Ireland.

Hello,
I recently sent for the marriage record for Bridget and Joseph.  The record lists his father as (deceased) Joseph Nicholson.   Bridget was 21 when they were married; Joseph, Jr. was 20.  They were married in the Catholic Church in Hyde.
