John Leacock/Eliza James Marriage.
« on: Tuesday 17 July 12 13:16 BST (UK) »
Hello,
I'm looking for marriage date/details for John Leacock born 1806ish in St.Germans. He married Eliza James born 1808 in Liskeard.
They had 9 children and lived in the Maker, Rame, St. Germans, Polbathick area.
I've found baptism records for all the kids but cant find a marriage. The baptism records were from St. Annes in Hessenford. I don't know who Johns parents wer but Elizas were Samuel and Rebecca James.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
               Thank you, Kevan.

Have you tried looking in Devon as well? Maker and Rame are on the boundary.

[/quoteHi Millepede, the first child was Rebecca James Leacock in 1836, it seems odd that there is plenty of info about the baptisms but i can't find the marriage. Kevan]

Hi basa364,
I'm desperately looking for information you have about Samuel and Rebecca James. Does Eliza have a brother named, Henry James? I hope so. I have Henry James in my family who married a Tamson(sic) and had a daughter, Mary Jane James, among others. She was married in 1859 in Canada to a Robert McGregor. They were my GGG-Grandparents. Thanks James.

Really seems like we may common ancestors. ;D

I located the marriage certificate of Samuel James(Sr.) and Rebecca(nee Richards) today. They were married 3 NOV 1806. Eliza b.1807 and her baptism was 7 JUNE 1807. Their son Henry James was b.1813, baptism was 26 DEC 1813.

If you any other information please contact me.
