This is my first time.  I suppose you could call me a RootsChat Virgin.

The previous threads aren't from me so definitely from someone else.  And I am a Taylor. Frederick Ambrose Taylor is my 2nd cousin 2x removed. I've an extensive A-------y tree.
Hope I don't fall foul of the censorship police with this.

His father, George Taylor, Birth Apr 1868 in Runswick (nr Whitby), Yorkshire North Riding, England.
His Brother, Richard Taylor, was my great great grandfather, Birth abt 1837 in Hinderwell (nr Runswick), Yorkshire North Riding, England.
Their father, George Taylor, Birth Abt Feb 1830 in Easington, Yorkshire North Riding, England.
His father, James Taylor, was my Great great great grandfather, Birth 1789 in Stranton, (now Hartlepool), Durham, England. That's as far back as I'm able to get with the Taylors, currently.

Richard's 3rd son, Henry Taylor, my great grandfather, Birth 14 Jul 1864 in Rockcliffe, Easington, Loftus, Yorkshire North Riding.
His 2nd son, John William Taylor (my namesake), Birth 29 Mar 1893 in Tudhoe Village, Spennymoor, Durham, England.  Had 10 children to his wife Elizabeth Ann Kenny. Their 3rd son, Thomas Henry Taylor, my late father, Birth 5 Sept 1931 in West Hartlepool, Co Durham.

All this is to prove my lineage and confirm my sincerity at locating as much actual confirmed family history & information as possible.

It doesn't seem much but the Taylor gene appears to come with an attached 'Wander Bug'.  I know, I have it.  Like my / our ancestors who travelled where there was work and pastures new, I've lived and worked across the globe. Even my daughter was born in Germany! She also has an attached 'Wander Bug'.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

John

Welcome to RootsChat. As you can see from the other threads there were searches done to try to find when Fred was in Canada but we came up empty. I'm not sure if there is anything more that can be done as I'm not aware of any documents that may have become available since the other searches were done.

There were a couple of people researching Fred in those threads. You may want to consider contacting them using the personal message creature (instruction on how to use it are in the Help section).

Hi.
I am trying to find my husband's grandfather, who had disappeared in 1950's.  I was wondering if you have done a DNA test?

Thank you for your help

Have a great day.
