Can anyone please tell me whether the U.P. Church still exits in Newton Stewart. The church was opened in 1878.

I have googled churches in Newton Stewart and found one, next to the library, which maybe the one I am looking for.

This is the information I have :

The design of the church is early English Gothic. It is built of whinstone, hammer - dressed and pointed with cement. The dressings are of white freestone from Prudham Quarry near Heehaw, broken with redstone from Dumfries. The curch was opened July 1878.

Can anyone enlighten me on this, please.

I have found the church. It is now the Newton Stewart Museum, which is housed in the former Newton Stewart,
Presbyterian Church.
