« on: Saturday 04 August 12 16:13 BST (UK) »
Having recently read a post re completing your 32 3xGtGrandparents I realised I was short by 5 persons, all of Irish decent.
Any Chatters able to fill in the gaps for the following;-
The parents of Robert Broder b 1829 Clonsilla Kilfrea Sligo and married a Margaret Cuffe Dec 1851 St Cumnathys Anchory died 1896 Lisaneagh Sligo
and
The parents of Eleanor McCabe b1855 Darlington Co Durham were John McManus b1825 and Cecillie McCabe b 1824 both from Ireland who married in Darlington Co Durham 2nd Qtr 1861. Looking for John & Cecillie parents.
Thanking you in advance
Eddie

Hello,

with regard to Cecilia, she is a widow in 1861 so do you have her previous name and father's name from the marriage certificate?

regards
heywood

added: 1851- she is with husband Edward and children - that is if it is the right person  :-\

Do you have Eleanor's birth certificate Possible death for Edward in 1857, Darlington

Hi again, I am assuming at the moment that this is the family:

1851 piece 2327/  folio  49/  page   36

Victoria Street Wakefield

Edward McCabe head 40 yrs Ordnance Surveyor b Ireland
Cecilia McCabe wife    30 yrs Housekeeper b Ireland
Maria McCabe daughter 7 yrs  b Sherburn, Yorkshire
John McCabe son  4 yrs b Wakefield
Margaret McCabe daur 2 yrs b Wakefield
Edward McCabe son 5 months b Wakefield
Thomas Haly 30 yrs boarder Ordnance Surveyor b Ireland
Mary Haly 26 yrs Boarder b Wakefield

As you probably know, in 1861, Cecilia is in Darlington as a widow with young Edward b Wakefield, Eleanor b Darlington, John McManus and possibly the younger children are his.Elizabeth who is possibly John's.

I can't see a marriage for Edward and a Cecilia so perhaps they married in Ireland.

You do need the birth certificate for Eleanor, if she is your ancestor and the marriage cert. to John McManus
