Hello Sarah

I looked SMI.The marriage for Edward & Elizabeth is the same date.

All the children Marg listed i found Baptised at Bexhill.

There are some years missing,so this may explain why i cant find Elizabeth.

I looked at the Battle baptisums again & could`nt find her there.

Kind regards

omega from very HOT Sussex :)

Hi Omega,

Thank you for the confirmation you have given me.  You have been so very helpful?  I feel I must try to get to Sussex at sometimes.....I would love to visit some of these places.  I'll have to keep on the lookout for cheap ferry crossings.

Anyway thank you again from a VERY HOT Belgium (but with a nice cold glass of wine) 8) ;D 8) ;D

Hi Omega,

Thanks for the information.  Things are coming along very nicely now.

I hope the couple of glasses of red went down well.......I've had a couple of glasses of white.  Very nice.

We are over in UK in September for my nieces wedding at Christchurch.  I don't think we'll have time....but I would love to detour off and have a mooch round ;D

Anyway.......enjoy the rest of this beautiful evening.

I am looking at information on Richard Morris and Elizabeth Shoesmith and have come across this conversation from some years ago. I am descended from Samuel Morris, son of R and E who would be my GGG Granparents. Samuel married Charlotte Gutsell and moved to Australia mid 1800's. I wonder if you had found a birth or baptism date for Elizabeth?  Also, I have found a Rueban Morris b 1796 with R and E listed as parents. Whether it is the couple I don't know as R and E didn't marry til 1801. Are you able/willing to share information you have regarding the family as it is difficult to locate info from the UK while living  in Australia.
