annie madeline Nolan completed
« on: Sunday 19 August 12 11:39 BST (UK) »
Hi there my great grandmother Annie Madeline Nolan was born in Sydney NSW australia and she then went to Ireland County Cork does anybody know please how I could find out what ship she was on.  I believe it could be early 1920s.  I also wonder if she made the journey with anyone else.

She was born in 1891 and married my great grandfather in Scariff Ireland 1916.
Thankyou  any help would be appreciated

Quick question, if she married in Ire in 1916, she must have travelled to UK before this date not in the 1920s??

Is she on the 1901/1911 Irish censuses?

What were her parent's names?

Have you located her birth in NSW?

OR, is it just her journey to Ireland that you are interested in finding? Did she travel alone or with her family? I am wondering that if she paid her own fare, there may be no record of her journey to Ireland.

Thankyou that means that Annie Nolan my great grandmother and family must of left Australia Its interesting to know Thomas was born in County Limerick as that means thomas must of gone to Australia (possible convict) and I would presume he married Mary there with her been born there.  One of my distant relatives found out that Thomas and Mary were distant cousins.

Thank you once again

I found an Annie Nolan in 1901 but did not say that she was the one you were looking for. Do you have Annie Madeline Nolan's father's name and occupation from her marriage certificate? or any other information which would confirm this is her family?

Annie madeline Nolan father was thomas nolan and mother mary ( same surname as distant cousins) dad was a agricultral labourer.  Think annie in 1911 could be same Annie she got married in county clare Ireland.  There could be a good chance that it is the correct one.
