Thanks for those last replies, but I Brian may be correct, that is my wife was using her laptop, but was not wirelessly connected the router attached to my desk top.
In anycase, it has not appeared again since my original posting, though in saying that, my wife hasn't been using her lap top either. Next time she does I'll pay more attention.
