QUESTION: What does 'NEW' constitute on posted topics?
« on: Thursday 26 May 05 12:55 BST (UK) »
Hello to all RootsChat Members,

Can anyone please tell me:
What does 'NEW' constitute on posted topics?

I would assume it is for a new posting.  Where as some topics still have 'NEW' attached to them and they are well over 6mths old.

How does one attach 'NEW' to a new topic?

Jeanette H.

Hi Jeanette,

I think it means 'new' as in 'new to you' i.e: that you didn't read it yet rather than how old the post is.

So any post that you've made won't appear as 'new' to you but will to others.

Best regards,

Emily

Hello Emily,

Thank you for taking the time to reply to my question.  I had not noticed till coming back online that a similar topic had been posted  about (2hrs, 49mins) earlier and titled 'NEW' from 'janeswan'.

I had been posting other messages on other message boards, and started wondering what "NEW' was all about.  As it was getting late I rushed back to this message board, typed the message and went offline.

Thanks again,
Jeanette H.
