A couple of years ago, I bought a box containing old books, maps and an old bible. The maps were dated between 1890 and 1910. The bible had two names Harold S Pogson in one corner. And the name Hannah Stansfield, and address, Todmorden, Lancashire.1858 across the first page.
I decided to delve.
In the 1901 census there is one Harold Pogson bc 1867 in Walsden, Lancashire, living in Newton, Hyde, Cheshire.
Also at the same address are his mother Hannah Pogson and sister Lillian Pogson.
So, back to the 1891 census. We have Wm. P. Pogson, Head, Hannah Pogson, wife, Harold Pogson son and Lillian Pogson Daughter.
Now a search for a marriage.
A William Pogson married a Hannah Stansfield in 1860 in Todmorden Lancashire.
His full name is William Philip Sutton Pogson, born in Horncastle Lincs. C1831

I can’t find any children for Harold and Lavinia they were both around 40 when they married
The strange/small world thing is, I bought the box of books and maps in Milton Keynes.at a car boot sale for £2. The addresses in Newton, Hyde, Cheshire are 2 miles from where I used to live, up until I migrated south in 1980. There a couple of my tree living in the same area in the 19th century.
