Hi,

Well over the past six weeks or so i have been round and round in circles with this family mystery. There are so so many possibilities for Nellas, Ellens and Barbaras in the area and with a typical Roberts name and no idea of my nains (Nella/Ellen) father it has been a struggle! I've talked a lot to older family members   but they all come up blank when talking about their nain (Barbara) as Nella really didn't talk about her.

The only new piece of 'evidence' i have is that people remember Nella having a sister a few years older than her called Ann Roberts (which i kind of new) who moved away when she was young and lived in Cricceth and had something to do with antiques! (that i didn't know!) They know she had a daughter Anita and a whole bunch of kids (numbers vary from 3 to 7!)

Well at least i have another angle in which to tackle now. To sooth my head i have been following my husbands family tree which is nice and easy even though he is a Price!

Hello again,
Over the past 6 months i have found out nothing from the Nella Owen's (nee Roberts) sister and family. Without her actual birth date or married name it is a major block for me. Not knowing the name of Ann/Annie's' or Nella's father is a problem in itself as i can only assume 'Roberts' is the mothers maiden name. Nella lived with her grandparents who lived in Penmachno whilst her mother got married to a 'bob' (no last name) and then took Nella back in with her new family.
I have been gaining rather well on my fathers side and even better with my other halves family on a better note! It is just my illusive grandmothers family!

I didn't want to say anything just in case, personal names of living people etc, you can never be to careful! I couldn't believe it was a coincidence though!!!

Thank you Trystan  ;D

My great great grandparents were Hugh Parry Roberts and Mary Roberts. On a trip to Penmachno I found their graves and also a grave belonging to a Barbara Roberts. I remember thinking it was an unusual name for that time. I agree that the Roberts family is very difficult to trace but if anyone has any info from Hugh and Mary’s line, I would be really interested :-)
