Hi - Very many thanks for your helpful starter info.  Not sure why on earth I didn't join RootsChat way back in 2011 when I began this amazing journey.

Am bound to fumble and mumble along a bit for now, but hopefully will soon find my way around. ☺

Best wishes and thank you.
Caz

Hi,
It is my first time on RootsChat. If I reply to a post, do the members that already wrote on the post will get a notification? Or should they go themselves look if other members have replied to their question?
Thank you!

Hi,
I get another question! Is there a way to send personal messages to a member not through RootsChat but directly to their personal email address? I would like to talk to a member that have not post anything since some days now and I am afraid he is no longer coming on the website.
Thanks!

Hi Cbeland,

Welcome to RootsChat.

When you reply to a thread on RootsChat everyone who has replied will normally get a email notification. You are best to reply to the end of a thread in the first instance, if there is any problem with a persons email not working they bounce back to me so that I can fix the problem.

You can message someone by PM (Private message)but if there is any problem with PM's they are not investigated any further.

Regards

Sarah :)
