Where do I place/post look up replies, please

I find this site so frustrating    I have tried to follow the guidelines (?)  but am constantly wondering where I should go next to either read a reply or post another message which may or may not be on my e mails.  Is it me or do others have the same problem ?  Perhaps I haven't spent long enough working out how the site works

I am very new here (last night) and posted on a thread. I received a reply back from that person in the form of a message, but I can't respond back in kind. I don't know how to go about keeping contact with this person now, and yet it has been determined that our trees align. When I looked in the help section it said that I can't send or receive private messages until I have posted three (I guess this counts as my second?) but this person was able to send to me? I am confused...

You'll be able to reply now because you've made more than just one post. There's a restriction on what people can do when they first post, but now you're ok.

Try and send them a message again and it will work

To see if you've had new replies to your posts, press the [ New Replies ] at the top-left of the page.

To see all you posts, press PROFILE in the menu near the top, and go down to wehre it says show posts.
