MIs for Presteigne
« on: Sunday 09 September 12 15:20 BST (UK) »

Hi

Does anyone have access to Monumental Inscriptions for St Andrew's in Presteigne which I believe are available in booklet form.  I have ancestors buried there "in templo" in the 1600s which I'm guessing means they were buried inside the church.  Do the inscriptions go back that far(*) or did the Victorians "rearrange" things during their inevitable refurbishments?

(*) The Clwyd-Powys Archaeological Tust mentions that the earliest gravestone in the churchyard is 1718.

With thanks
