if you have access to ancestry there is a tree on there with photo's etc

Thanks Doran. Just checked them out and it looks as though the Griffiths were English at least as far back as Albert's great-grandfather. He came from Ellesmere in Shropshire, which quite possibly means he was a Welsh-speaker as many in that area are even today. But I think I'd be pushing my luck to call Griffo Welsh ;)

well as we are both welsh at least i suspect you are welsh with Gareth for a name and you are in cardiff  forgive me if I'm wrong  griffo can be an honoury welshman ;)
