Family History
« on: Wednesday 19 September 12 13:33 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find information on the McNally family from Consett Co. Durham. My grandfather was John McNally who married Mary Jane Oldridge. I'm informed that my grandfather John McNally came from Ireland and settled in Consett during the 1800's but I can't find anything else on his family or where they came from in Ireland or why they settled in Consett. I have tried to look for his surname using the alphabetical list but it's not there or even a variation of the spelling but it's not there. Can anyone help please?

The marriage cert would (hopefully) give a fathers name and occupation, and so give a few clues to help locate the family in 1911 - hopefully in turn giving place of birth.
Thus working back one step at a time.

Kemp - Essex
