Rumbold, Edith Scott Immigration England to Canada
« on: Friday 21 September 12 05:25 BST (UK) »
I'm trying to establish the details of Edith Scott Rumbold immigration from England to Canada. She was born 1872 Tonbridge Kent (parents Walter Scott Rumbold & Mary Ann Skinner) She was a resident in 1901 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent England and may have left England about 1924 for Quebec Canada and then maybe later moved to USA. Would like to be able to put more detail to her immigration and final destination. I dont know if she was married defore immigrating or if she married in Canada or USA or if she in fact ever married. Hope someone can help please.

Hi

Not sure if you have any of this but I can see her on a 1924 Passenger Mannifest of the "Empress of France" from Quebec to the USA, destination not listed unfortunately.

Also there is an Edith RUMBOLD of the right age showing on the 1911 Census of Alberta Canada, 1916 Census Alberta Canada, 1930 Census USA Minnesota ( she is Edith S on this one ) and the 1940 Census USA Minnesota.

On all of them she is listed as a cook or a domestic and is single
