Barnard Family Staffordshire
« on: Friday 21 September 12 22:44 BST (UK) »
I am looking for a Mr Barnard in the late 1800's- early 1900's with links to the stoke-on-trent area. I have little information on him other than either himself or a family member part owned a photography and frame making studio in the stoke-on-trent area. estimated birth would be around 1875-1885.
I have found one listing of a business called hastings photography that was owned by a.c.Heilbronn and barnard at 61 piccadilly hanley however have searched and searched without any other reference. Any information on this studio would be appreciated or any photographs that may be stamped.
This man would have been the father to my great grandfather John William Barnard Barnes born 1905, his mother was Florence Barnes born 1885.

Any little information would be of great help, especially if you have a barnard family tree with links to stoke-on-trent/staffordshire area.

Thank You for the replies.

I have also been looking into George Wiliam Barnard as a possibility, my great grandfather never met his dad and if he was already married at the time this could explain why. I really need to find if George Barnard was the same man who held shares in the business at 61 piccadilly to connect the two for definate.

Im afraid i dont have the birth certificate and looking at the registration of births my great grandfather was registered as John William B Barnes, the B was Barnard.

Hi and welcome to Roots

On the 1881 census 3546/17/2

It states that he was the adopted son of William and Alice Chesters and that he was paralyzed from birth????

Strange looking at the others census
