Hi I am looking for the family of Mary Roberts born 1896 Anglesey, Wales.( She was my Grandmother).  Her father was Hughie Roberts I dont know her mother's name but after Hughie died she married into the Jones family and moved to Holyhead.

The first thing I would ask about your Mary Roberts is whether she had a middle name?

I have Mary Roberts Marriage certificate and there is  no middle name on that.

All the ones with a father Hugh given as born in c 1896 in the 1901 Census have a middle name.However there is one given as born in c 1894 with parents Hugh and Mary Roberts and given as born in Llanidan Anglesey.

Thank you I will look at that one, on Mary's marriage certificate she has her age as 28 and the marriage was in 1924 so should make her birth 1896.

She has her occupation as "Cook/Domestic", and as far as I am aware she had no other Robert family members living in Kent.

Are you saying she married someone by the surname of Jones in Kent in 1924?

No,  Mary's mother (dont know her first name) marrried into the Jones family in Wales (Holyhead)
I think Mary's father Hughie Roberts  died when Mary was quite young.
