Hi there,

There is a birth registration for Elsie M MINERS, dau of James and Sarah J registered Broken Hill for 1894.  The NSW BDM ref is #7778.

A transcript from one of the NSW BDM Official Agents will provide you with lots of family history info  :) and confirm the details of her parents, their marriage, any older siblings for Elsie, her place of birth and of course her date of birth.

There is a marriage for a James MINERS to a Sarah J POPE registered Broken Hill in 1893.  #2540.   It is likely that the NSW BDM records for that marriage will only be a summary, and as such it is likely their records will not include details of any prior marriage for either the bride or the groom, nor will it include the details of their parentages, occupations of their fathers, nor their own ages, nor even their birth places.

BUT here is a thread I did up to help overcome those hurdles.   It is of course sensible to have an official transcript of the marriage to help with that research.

Thank you Cando, that will be her I didn't think the NSW death place was correct, some how I have all these people dying in Sutherland and when I dig further they didn't die in Sutherland at all, a lot of what I am doing at present is checking information I have got from other people, a big job but needs doing. Thanks again

Thank you yes that is her parents, I agree with your advice re certs etc but with a data base of over 6000 it is just imposible to do, I do get certs for closer members, but these are 4th 5th cousins, getting close to my present cut off point. Thanks again

Wow, err,  I have been doing my family history research for errrrr DECADES, and errr while I don't count the number of people listed in my tree, I don't seek out help for  4th or 5th cousins, so I am sure my own tree doesn't go anywhere near 6000....

Cheers,  JM
