marriage of W H Whittard

Freebmd shows him as William Henry Whittard

Unless there are any local transcriptions - to lookup a marriage in parish records - you need to know which church it took place in

These are the areas covered by the Dursley Reg district

William Henry in 1851 census:

Whittard, Alice  Head  Widow  F  46  Cloth Weaver  b Dursley
Whittard, Maryann  Daughter  F  24  Wine Seller  b Dursley
Whittard, Henry  Son  M  19  Labourer  b Dursley

Whittard, Hannah  GrandDaughter  F  5  b Dursley
Higgins, Samuel  Brother-in-Law  Widower  M  47  Receivers Labourer  b Dursley

I found Ruth Whittard with Henry in 1861, and 1871.
Henry was born c1831.
So this might be him?

According to Glos BMD the marriage you're looking for took place at the Register Office, so if you need the info you'll have to send for the certificate!

Thank you to you all, I have one set of information, an Ancestry tree has a different set, I was hoping to confirm one or the other from the fathers names. Ah well another avenue closed, certificate required. Many Thanks MIK.

I'm also trying to locate the parents of William Henry Whittard (my GGGGF) father of Arthur Whittard (my GGGF). Currently have his parents as Alice and John Whittard from various searches but unconfirmed. Before I order a MC, did you get a copy?

Thanks in advance
