Henry Roland BLACKWELL b. Winton, Queensland
« on: Sunday 30 September 12 05:20 BST (UK) »
Looking for parents/family of Henry Roland BLACKWELL, born 27 May 1921 in Winton Queensland.  Married Dorothy Kelly (most possibly in Queensland, I have not been able to find a marriage record in Victoria or New South Wales).  They were still in Queensland around the 1940s and then moved to Victoria.  I do not have a birth certificate as the Queensland historical records seem to only go up to 1914? (I can't remember exactly).  Any help or assistance is appreciated

Hi there,

When did your person of interest die?  When did his wife die?

Adding
RChat thread that may help

You are seeking records of a person who may be living.  This is not permitted on rootschat.
http://www.rootschat.com/help/posting_guide.php#living

As you have found you cannot access birth records post 1914 in Queensland or marriage records post 1937.

Do you know if either he or his wife are still alive?

Cheers

Hi JM

He is not living.  Unsure exactly, it may have been about around 8 years ago.  His wife may have died in the 1980s.  We don't have much information, that is the best I can give you at the moment.

Thanks

Ness

Please do not assume that someone is breaking roots chat rules.  I use this site often.  Please ask a question instead of assuming.

Thank you

Hi there,

I doubt either of us were assuming you or any other RChatter were breaking rules, BUT the thread I have just added to my earlier post quite clearly states

"If you are providing details of someone we are likely to suspect may still be living, but you know is deceased, please state this."

The Aussie Moderator prepared that thread.

Cheers,  JM  (red warning light not working for me at the moment)

Adding, we both asked questions of you in our initial posts.

Where have you already looked for confirming information that they are both deceased?

Cheers,  JM

I can't see where I have assumed anything and I did ask a question?

In 1942 Dorothy was enrolled to vote with an address at Preston, Victoria while Henry was serving in WW2

In 1963 they are enrolled to vote at the same address in Oakleigh, Vic.

They were both cremated
