Kelloe comes under the Easington district (or it did back then!), but I can't see a marriage of John Miller to a Jane? looking 1841 to 1851, based on eldest child born 1847.

Newbottle comes under Houghton-le-Spring district - that's where I did find a potential marriage.

But first you need to confirm Jane's maiden name ;D ;D

Will follow through with the marriage certificate. I did start with the 1891 census and have been working my way back with the information I already had from existing family. My uncle did a family tree of sorts, but he only looked at the male line with John and Robert, women were of no consequence apparently. I feel that there are a lot of mistakes in his tree because of this. These two names, do tend to run in the family, John and Robert. The family left newbottle around 1928, some family still remained there till they passed away.

Will follow through with the marriage certificate.

But you can't get this until you have confirmed Jane's maiden name.

I would think a sloppy written Potts instead of Patts. Potts is a common last name.  No Jane Potts or Patts baptism in Kelloe.  There is a Jane Hudson though  24 Dec 1820 d/o Margaret.
