There is an ELLEN DEMPSEY in 1911 census age 18 a Servant House 9 Dromreague, Kilnamartery, Cork (think this is macroom area not sure), could be daughter aged 7 in 1901 census.

There is a Thomas Dempsey in 1911 in Kinsale a road contractor aged 60 a widower.

Also a Thomas Dempsey born skibereen, death 26March 1916 in France Royal Munster Fusiliers 9th Batt.
Thought the family may have emigrated but no trace in UK census of 1911 :)

One of my great, great, great grandfathers, was Jeremiah Dempsey, born Rosscarberry ( not that far away from Dunmanway!) circa 1800.  He emigrated to High Wycombe, before coming to  Abertawe (Swansea).  He married a Margaret Crowley, probably from West Cork area too.
