John Goodwin
« on: Wednesday 17 October 12 20:51 BST (UK) »
John Goodwin was born 1816 in Bingham I think, and lived most of his life there, dying in 1881, his wife was called  Hannah, born 1817 in Bingham , but I cannot find her surname or  her birth registration, she died in 1892.  I cannot find any mariage date . though on the census she is down as wife,  I cannot find Johns birth registration anywhere,  Im a bit confused and am wondering if ive missed something, some help would be appreciated, thank you. :)

Hi

This request has been put in the completed section, but with no replies, so I am assuming that it was a mistake.

Anyway here is a little bit of information to start you off

John Goodwin bapt 14.4. 1816 to George & Ann at Bingham, Labourer

George Goodwin m Ann Johnson 2.4. 1804 at Bingham

If it was a mistake, maybe the moderator will move it.

Civil Registration only started on 1st January 1837!

That's why you can't find his birth.

Hi,

Hannah Bates was christened on 5 Oct 1817 Bingham Church illegitimate daughter of Elizabeth Bates and Richard Smith.

Edit:  Looks like Richard Smith married Sarah Hough 2 Oct 1824 Bingham Church.
