I am trying to trace the parents of my great, great grandfather John Howarth born Rochdale, Lancashire about 1828.

I believe his father was a John Howarth and he had a sister Ann born 1823, but I may be wrong.  John lived at 35 Manchester Road, Castleton, Lancashire in 1861 with family - wife Jane (nee Hardman) and sons Robert born 1855 and  James born 1857,   a Ann Howarth born 1823 also lived at the same address. Problem is there are 2 John Howarths b. Rochdale about same time1851 there is John Howarth (occ Machine joiner) with wife Betty
I think he belongs this family

This is very possibly my John listed in 1851 at 13 Brown Street, Castleton, with Mother Mary and sister Ann, and also the entry 1841 Northmoor Street Castleton.  No father listed unfortunately.  My Howarth family were very much into wool working.
