Whitaker/Hineraro/Coleman
« on: Thursday 18 October 12 01:13 BST (UK) »
I am the great grandaughter of Johannes Mattson and Sarah Elizabeth Coleman and am researching my Mattson heritage. I live in Northland NZ.

I have read the 'completed' topic of 'James Whitaker of Whangaroa' and would like to have contact with any of the people who contributed to that conversation.

I have information  that Elizabeth Ann Coleman sailed to NZ with (my) Sarah and her brother Charles William in the ship "Servilla" arriving in Auckland 25/2/1861. Presumably Servilla Eve Coleman is named after the ship. She married Samuel Ralston Bourdot in 1900 and lived on the North Shore of Auckland NZ.

I have lots of past and present information on the lines from Sarah and Johannes but would particularly like to learn more of James Whitaker, Peti Hineraro and Isabella.

Hi shellgirl, I am new to this so please bear with me......I am a direct descendant of James Alexander Whitaker & Peti (Betty) Hineraria (seems to be many different spelling versions) They were my gr, gr, gr grandparents.  I had someone contact me regarding this after my mother passed away in 2002,  but unfortunately lost their contact and was unable to follow up   :-[
I also would like to make contact with the people who posted in the James Whitaker COMPLETED posts.....very interesting and perhaps I can offer further information.  I do need to refer back to my Mothers notes, but may have some birth/marriage/death certificates also.

This is my first post on this forum so am hoping it all works ok.

I have a book of Common Prayer that was given to Mrs L.D. Bickerton from her friend and Pastor J.C.Eccles, Holy Trinity Church, Woodville, 21 May, 1893. This book has been treasured through the years by female direct descendants of Isabella Bickerton.  My mother gave it to me on my wedding day, as it had been given to her on her wedding day also.
