Cowlishaw marriage in Chesterfield - Completed
« on: Thursday 18 October 12 13:48 BST (UK) »
Several years ago I made a note of a marriage between Edward Cowlishaw and Alice Boot in 1761 from the Chesterfield parish records. Would someone be kind enough please to check this out for me. Is it correct and is there any additional information?. Thanks.

Hello again Andy

They married 2 July 1761.  No other information given I'm afraid.

Hi Carol and thanks again for helping my research. That is a good bit of additional information. Edward and Alice had six children between 1761 and 1786 as far as I can tell but none of their births appear to have been registered. I only know this from a headstone in Brimington churchyard that records their date of death and age and the names of their parents (Edward and Alice).

Hi Andy,

I came across an Edward Cowlisha 22 Nov 1731 Chesterfield, Derby - Father Edward Cowlisha.

Not sure if this helps.

Regards,

Mark.

Thanks Mark. At the moment I'm thinking the Edward (1731) is the one whose children are buried in Brimington churchyard.
