Any sites for Italians in Buenos Aires, Argentina
« on: Tuesday 23 October 12 23:11 BST (UK) »
I've tried Family Search/LDS site and have exhausted what they have for Argentina I think.

So can anyone point me toward any other links, particularly for Italians living in Buenos Aires Argentina from the 1870s onward.

Or does anyone know of any (probably largely Italian) RC churches/graveyards in or near La Boca for c1890-1930s?

Have been googling like a demon but not getting anywhere!

Thanks.

K, well thanks to google translate I managed to narrow down churches. Now looking for a contact details (i.e. an email address) for
Iglesia San Juan Evangelista in La Boca. Have found a phone number, but I won't be calling that any time soon! Can any Spanish speakers out there find one for me?  Found this one on the church site, admsanjuan@hotmail.com  but it's not working.

I also came across a useful Angentinian website with good links
http://www.geneaservice.nl/navigator/argentina/index.html

A site with lists of churches http://www.buenosaires.gov.ar/areas/secretaria_gral/cultos/lugares.php?menu_id=24249

And a site with good links and the option to pay a researcher to do the job for you - but where's the fun in that!

This was useful too
