Hello wozzle,

Thank you very much.

I was hoping 1851 would have a son William James born abt 1837 Devon with them.  Perhaps I have the wrong Edwin & Mary Ann CARTER in 1841.

I have this death in NSW and was trying to confirm details in an on-line tree:

11368/1917  CARTER  WILLIAM -  EDWIN  - MARY A  - COROWA

Regards,

Fred

Hi I cannot at present locate this family in 1841, but seeing the eldest child is an Edwin, I wonder if this Mary Ann re-married:-

Edwin C Carter 18 occ Stonemason
Ellen C 16

All children born Plymouth, Devon
Residing at Prince Rock, The Martyr, Plymouth

Hello Keyboard86,

Thank you very much.

That looks more like the family I'm chasing. So Mary Ann did remarry.

Fred

Hello DOB7,

Thank you very much. That's the family I'm after.

The tree I was working off lists the marriage of Edwin and Mary Ann STOCKDALE as 1830 Mabe, Devon. [sic]

I checked Mabe, Cornwall 1825-1837 and found no such marriage.

Now I have to find William James in shipping records.

Regards,

Fred
