FINISHED What became of Elizabeth Harbidge?
« on: Monday 29 October 12 10:39 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

I have in my family tree Elizabeth Harbidge (1883-?). I know that she was born in Birmingham and her parents were William Harbidge (1842-1901) and Sarah Smith (1851-1888). Elizabeth appears in the 1891 census with her parents and siblings but I can't find her in later census records. In fact, she and her brother Harry Harbidge (1879-1926) are both missing in 1901.

Any help with this would be much appreciated!

Fantastic!!! Thank you! Yes the name Harbidge has been transcribed as many things, making it difficult to find people at times. For example their father William Harbidge is missing in 1861 and 1871 after his parent's death. He lives with his sister Eliza in what is probably a poor house in 1951 but no trace of him again until 1881 with his wife Sarah Smith.
