Hi Deb  :)

Fascinating thread - saw it last night but I was too tired to join in.  Thingy  No. 1 looks intriguing with some sort of metal circular backing plate.  Its a very nice thingy and I could give it house-room!!

I agree that Thingy No. 2 looks like a minature spinning wheel and the line attaching the thingies is a mark on the pic.

What a lot of interesting stuff - is that a Wedgewood Teapot Thingy to the right of the bowl on the dresser?

also looks like a tiny scent bottle thingy - or something similar on the tip of the shelf/mantle whatever.  near the spinning wheel thingy.

Good Morning everyone :)

Thank you all.

I don't have the original but am going to email my cousin who does ...I need understand what I'm asking first.

If I ask him to scan the pic at 300 or 600 dpi (as per Cazza59  :) ) can I repost here or will it be too big?

If I ask him to put it back in the scanner and draw a box around the quadruple picture on the wall, and scan just that box at maybe 600dpi, something fairly hi-res. Then do another box around the thingy on the floor and make a hi-res scan (as per China :) )...then I have do do new threads for each 'piece'

Can this photo be restored from the picture that is already here?

As you can tell I'm not familiar with this stuff at all.

Thanks again

Deb  :)

When he scans the picture, he should be able to select just a small area to scan. That way, he can use a much higher resolution, but still have a manageable file size.

If you tell him which areas you want higher resolution scans of, he can save two or three different images and send them individually. A high-res scan of the photos in frames would be a good start, then the various thingies.

Good, it's an intriguing picture. Very "content-rich," as they say.
