Stephen Cottingham c1829 married Sussanah Clay c 1835 on 21st July 1855 in Stanground, Peterborough. Their children all of whom were born in Stanground are as follows....
Mary Ann c 1857
Alice c 1858 married Alfred Simpson Smith in Oct 1881 died between then and 1886
John c 1860 married Emma J Whitham in 1883 they had children Ellena J, Matilda Hannah, Vincent, Bertha, Lily, Thomas and Stephen all of which were also born in Stanground but by 1891 the family had moved to Leicestershire.
Susannah c1862 who married John William Richmond 20th May 1886 in Thorney, Cambs they had children Susannah, Mary Elizabeth, Sarah Jane, Hannah and John W.

Sarah c 1866 married Alfred Simpson Smith 2 Nov 1886 and after his death married Walter Butters 4 August 1900. She had two children with Alfred Stephen and Kate (my gr grandmother)
