Greenhalgh family - Clitheroe England 1840s COMPLETED, thanks

Hi - Can you help me locate Frederic Thomas Greenhalgh, reportedly born in Clitheroe, England July 19, 1842? His father's name is William. I'd really like to trace back several generations of Greenhalghes to see if Frederic is indeed related to my husband's family, but no luck so far.   Frederic T emigrated to US in early childhood, don't know when.

I have info on Ellis - he married Martha (1st wife as far as I know), and they had a son, James, (some of) whose descendants are still in England. Ellis and family were on census records April 1951 in Chorlton, Manchester. Shortly thereafter Ellis emigrated. He married Alice Rachel McDowell 19 Oct 1955 in Lawrence, MA, USA. They had 5 children.  I did not have all the detail, so I thank you, garsonite, for that.

It's Frederic's ancestors I don't know, and since both Greenhalgh families were from Bolton (as all Greenhalghes were at some point) I was hoping to find out how far back we had to go to find a common ancestor. So thank you, Radcliffe, for 1 more generation. Still no common ancestor, but I'm one step closer.

Hi - this last entry can't be 'my' Frederic - wrong age, dad's name is William, and he is in America by 1874.... In 1972 he married Isabel Nesmith in Massachsuetts, USA.  But thanks for trying!
