Have you already checked the excellent
http://www.staffordshirebmd.org.uk/

There are many Deaville data. Including a death for an Olive age 9 in 1869  :(

Hello Polly

Joseph was my GGG Grandfather!  What would you like to know?

Joseph and Sarah only had one child that I can find at the moment.  Both Joseph and Sarah had been widowed before they got married.

Joseph (1818) married Eliza Birch (parents Joseph and Hannah Birch) who was baptized 12 may 1830.

Joseph and Eliza had 4 children but only 1 made it through childhood:-

Mary Ann - Died 26 April 1860 aged 3 years
Smith Deaville - Died 15 Dec 1862 aged 3 days
Olive Deaville - Died 20 Dec 1869 aged 9 years
Charles Deaville - Died 10 Nov 1918 aged 60 years

Eliza Birch died in 1863 aged 32 Years.  Joseph then married Charlotte Fisher at St. Lukes Church, Leek in 1865.  Charlotte Died in 1873 aged 56 Years.  Joseph (1818) died in 1888 aged 69.

Charles Deaville married Mary Ellen Bailey in 1880 in Leek, Staffordshire and had the following children:-

Olive - Born 1880 (my G Gran)
Joseph - Born 1883
Charles Edward - Born 1886
Lilian - Born 1888

I've got more info if you like which will lead you to me.

I'd love to hear from you to see where you come into the grand scale of things....

Claire

Hello Claire, I think we have discussed the Deavilles before on GenesReunited. Although Joseph 1775 is not my direct line I would like to tidy up him and his possible wives and children! Was Sarah possibly his third wife, as I also have records of a Joseph Deaville marrying 1) Ann (Clulow?) b1781 and 2) Hannah b1778. I have his children as: Prudence 1800-1834 (buried St Edwards church), Smith 1810, Hannah 1814 and Joseph. I also have another Joseph born 1802, bap 22 Oct 1802 died 1852 and wonder if he could have been one of his? Your views would be appreciated. Thanks, Jan

Claire,

Do you happen to know if the Sarah DEAVILLE (b. ~1795) who married George MOSS (b. 1793) were the ones who moved to Onecote and had Elizabeth, Thomas, John, Ann, Phoebe, Joseph, and Sarah?
