mv afghanistan about 1925+
« on: Tuesday 13 November 12 16:32 GMT (UK) »
Hi all
My father ws on the mv afghanistan as a cabin boy. The only record we have is the press cutting below when the ship took a long time to arrive at its destination.
Can anyone tell the approx date, newspaper it was from or any other detail to go with it

Thanks in advance

The month of August is mentioned on one of the company announcements. Not clear if it's 1926 or 1936 in another. Assuming that the Churchill mentioned is Winston Churchill you might be able to work out if he was in Canada on a visit of some sort. Not sure what he was doing at that time, possibly an MP.
