Hi

This is from freebmd

Marriages June qtr 1917
John Kane/Lizzie Taylor  Doncaster  9c 1458

www.yorkshirebmd.org.uk  shows it as a registry office/registrar attended marriage so you would need to buy a copy of the marriage cert to get the names of their respective fathers

Evening Carole  ;D

I was just about to ask if the poster actually HAS a copy of the marriage cert and if so what info can he give us from it?

We are after the father's names and jobs and what address do they get married from, what is John's job at the time, and lastly who were the witnesses.

Regards

Another Carol  ;)

Aha,FreeBMD has a postem by the side and it gives us their fathers names.....

It would appear that Lizzie was previously married as the childrens birth registrations between 1918 and 1925 shows mmn as Noble

There was a 4th child born 1925

My Dad was John Kane born in 1933 at Grimethorp Yorkshire to John Kane and Lizzie ( nee Noble). He had an older sister Katherine ( known as Kit) and a younger sister Eileen and his youngest sister died. His Mum and Dad both died when he was 5 and he was then taken in by his Aunt and Uncle. He married my Mum on January 1st 1949 and I was born in October 1950 and am an only child.
