In the  1901 OR 1911 census  I am trying to find James Paul who was bn 1862 Beath in Fife he married Elizabeth Bartholomew bn 1866 Monifieth Angus they were married in 1897 in Dundee
Both stayed in Dundee at time of Marriage

Hi Jim

I did a quick look on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk on the 1901 census

I searched for a James Paul age range 38 to 40 second person forename Elizabeth search all records all districts you get 1 hit.

On the 1911 if you remove the second person forename add 10 years to age range you get 2 hits in Angus

There is a death for a Lizzie Paul(other surname Bartholomew) 1926 St Mary(Dundee) Angus , born c1868
It may be Elizabeth is using the forename Lizzie on the Census  :-\

thanks for help just found out she remarried in 1904
assume he died
