i still need to make contact with the lady who first caught my attention

my monk family were known as a travelling family

varey, ireland, momk, swales, aspinall/aspinsall all hawkers or potters or horse dealers or carpet hawkers or peddlars and the like

a varey went to america and a monk went to america also dont know the details

the lady said she was pleased to know they were "romany" not sure it was all good news though lol
