The venue and actual dates for both marriages is already known - Stacey is asking for somebody to go to the records office and look the entries up in the parish records

So it appears the mention of "Thorpe" in the heading was a simple error? Not a reference to the nearby hamlet.

Hi everyone :)

I don't know if anyone would be able to help me, I'm desperate for the information for a couple of marriage records and can't get any further without them! The details are as below:

Names: William Greenaway and Florence Beardshaw
Date: 25 Apr 1915
Church: St Mary, Stainforth

Names: John William Brooks and Sarah Greenaway
Date: 30 May 1936
Church: St Nicholas, Thorne

I don't know whether anyone's planning on visiting the records office, or has easy access to the records, but if anyone has chance to lookup either of the above, I would be very grateful :)

Thanks for your help!

Stacey.

The 1915 marriage  in a record office or online will most likely be available, but the 1936 Thorne may come under the 100 year rule and the parish records will no be open to public viewing............  other than that you may have to purchase a GRO or at the local register office for a marriage certificate

In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth
