According to the newspaper report of the court hearing....

Later he wrote to her at an address at Parkhurst and told her the home was still there for her and the children. He received no reply. He kept the home open for six months.

Some time later the children were, put in the care of the State Children's Department and arrangements were made for hint to contribute towards their maintenance. They were actually boarded with his wife.

He went out into the country timber getting. He built a hut and took a woman there as housekeeper. They then lived as man and wife and had four children.

The obviously married after Michael obtained a divorce and had two more children.

According to the electoral rolls in my earlier post Michael Claude ADAMS was living at the same addresses as Dorothy Edith ADAMS from 1945 to 1977.  So, if this is the lady in question she and Michael were together well before the divorce in 1951.  Marriages in Qld BMD indexes are only up to 1937.

The six children with Dorothy are listed in the death notice Merlin found.

Hi Cando,
               It dose seem to be a de-facto relationship until we can get a marriage cert. to prove it otherwise.

             I can't get anything up Alec Alfred DYER through the Qld BDM but plenty (about 6-7) come on Mary Ann ANDERSON all I have to do is get the right one.

Alec Alfred & Mary Ann DYER are buried at Barcaldine Cemetery QLD:

Alec Alfred DYER age 84yrs 9/9/1964
Mary Ann DYER age 76yrs 10/3/1952

So, you will find Mary Ann's death on the QLD BDM also.
