Henry would not be counted as one of the children mentioned on the 1911 Census since he was from Thomas Radwell's earlier marriage.

I think Henry Radwell is on the 1911 Census as Harry Radwell.

Name:   Harry Radwell
Age in 1911:   27
Estimated Birth Year:   abt 1884
Relation to Head:   Head
Gender:   Male
Birth Place:   Kettering, Northamptonshire
Civil parish:   Wilby and Hardwick
County/Island:   Northamptonshire
Country:   England
Street Address: Main Rd, Main Street, Wilbye, Wellingborough
Marital Status:   Married

Other members of the household: Kate (wife), Frederick (5), Florence (3), Ellen (1)

It looks like he was registered as Harry Radwell (Birth in 1884, marriage to Kate Ward in 1905, death in 1948)

Though there was a tendency in the Army to use younger men in the infantry (usually 19 to 30 was the best age range) there were men in the army up to their forties in infantry battalions.

The minimum age to serve overseas was 19 up to the end of 1917, and then 18.5 though most of 1918. So William would have been at the youngest possible age range (assuming he didn't lie about his age) to have served overseas in 1918.

We can't really assume that Harry didn't serve in the army. Judging by the likely births of his and Kate's children there seems a gap in the latter years of the war:

These are Radwell births in Wellingborough District with Radwell as surname and Ward as mother's maiden name:

Margaret, born 1911
Walter A, born 1915
Albert E, born summer 1916
Evelyn A, born winter 1921

Albert's birth certificate (and possibly Walter's) may include details of Harry's army service if he did so.

Do you have an address for Harry and Kate during the war years?

Hi Nadine.  :)

I popped into Northampton Library this morning and found out that
Harry was certainly in Wilby upto to at least 1945 as I found 3 of his
children marriages in the Village.

I looked at Finedon, Wilby and Wellingborough All Hallows for a marriage
of Harry to Kate in Sep qtr 1905 to no avail.  :(

The baptisms for Wilby end at 1880, so no guessing if the children were
baptised or not. Obviously the latest register still at Church unless N.R.O.

The children that seem to be theirs are as follows.

1. Frederick William, Dec 1905, 2. Florence, Sep 1907, 3. Elsie Nellie, Sep 1909,
4. Maragret L, Sep 1911, and then the ones Steve notes.
