W. J. Reynolds
« on: Monday 03 December 12 08:39 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if anybody might be able to provide me with information about  Walter James Reynolds (1896 - 199?) Possibly J. W.

I believe that he may have had brothers and may have been born in Eton, Dorney or Windsor and that he served in the Army  Mesapotamia or / and India in the first ww until the 1920s

I do not know anything more about his family except that he was married in 1923 at Brentford (?) to Elsie nee Wilson (1900- 1966)
Kirtland (Oxfordshire Windsor, Berkshire)
Lipscombe (Longwick Berkshire, Maidenhead)
Marsh (London, Monksweirmouth,
Morris. Kinsale, Ireland
Durham+Berks  Bucks, Wokingham
Reynolds (Buckinghamshire Stoke on Trent)
Green, Stoke Poges
Brown (Co Durham, Windsor, Wokingham)
Wilson (Eton)
Wise

Thanks KG :)
I feel sure that Reynolds, Walter James  Son  M  3  b Windsor is probably the  man.
I had absolutly no idea that he came from such a big family. Alice May is the only other family member I previously knew about.
The address 12 Arthur Villas, Clewer, is an absolute surprise.
It has turned what has just been a very tacit idea that I have had in mind into an almost definite probability.

I wonder what became of the others

Looks like the family lived at 12 Arthur Villas for over 20 years?
They were there in 1911 (Due to copyright, we can't give you the details!), and 1891:

1891 reference, RG12, 1012, 95, 10
12 Arthur Villas, Clewer

Reynolds, Alfred W  Head  M  29  Tailor  b Newcastle, Staffs
Reynolds, Julia E  Wife  F  29  b Boundary, Leicestershire
Reynolds, Emma G  Daughter  F  5  Scholar  b Nottingham
Reynolds, George H  Son  M  3  b Nottingham
Reynolds, Alfred H  Son  M  2  b Clewer

Looks like another son called Alfred?!
