Hi Stewart, YES! Spotted that Claines entry and it's worth dwelling on I think! Heard from one of the CIFHS ladies who tells me William Adams and CARRIE LYCETT were married in Birmingham......but I'm beggered if I can find any record of it! That's hunting through FreeBMD, Ancestry and Findmypast. The lady is going to try and look into the discrepancy between the fathers name (not a clue how!) so fingers crossed something/anything comes to light!
Back on track after the hols now - though still in Dubai with hubby until Feb!
