James Albert Cranfield 1831 in Chard

Hi

i'm trying to find out who James Albert Cranfield born 1831 in Chard .He married in Oct - Dec 1853 in Chard. Vol 5C Page 919.

It is one of the 2 Sarah's listed on the page. Sarah Warman or Sarah Wootton. On all the cenus it gives only Sarah born in 1830's in Ilminster,

they had 4 children, Ellen, Charles James, Thomas and Emma.

Any info will help

There was a Sarah Wootten of the right age in 1841 :

Not sure whether it helps - but the above had a brother called Charles and a sister by the name of Emma.

I could be wrong, but I think Sarah Warman could have married James Frost :

1861 census : RG9/1634, Folio 62, Page 1

Also it might be a coincidence but in 1851, James Cranfield and Sarah Wootten both resided in West Street, Illminster.

Hi Pels

I think it is Sarah Wootton as James Albert Cranfield lives at no.79 West Street along with his brother Alfred William Cranfield and Sarah lives at 108 West Street as you put.

I also found on the same 1851 census Ruth Jeffery. She lives at no.80 West Street and she married Alfred William Cranfield.
